That what I've learned because of cosplay.
You can see the difference between my first cosplay prop (Rikku's knives) and with my last work (Sylvanas Windrunner armor).
I never thought I've become props maker. My first experience with a props was awful, I made these untidy and awry Rikku knives. Five years ago I was proud of my work, you know. I've return to cosplay props in 2012 in my Monster Hunter costume. I've learned to be patient and accurate. And then I've found myself in a painting job. I really enjoy painting. Now I'm making props with joy and confidence in success.

I am making my first armor set which is Sylvanas it looks nothing like yours, which can be discouraging but you give me hope to never give up and to keep trying. It seems with patience and practice I will hopefully become better.
